The true story of a muse forever imprisoned within a painting…

No, this is not a legend — it truly happened.

London, 1850. Lizzie Siddal, renowned for her striking copper-red hair, poses for what would become England’s most famous painting: Ophelia, inspired by Shakespeare. But by lending her features to this tragic heroine, Lizzie seals her own fate. Gradually, her life begins to mirror that of Ophelia in uncanny ways.

Through her passionate and destructive love affair with the painter Rossetti, this piece — blending theatre, painting, cinema, and poetry — retraces her haunting destiny and draws us into one of the most spellbinding mysteries in art history.
